What is Smart Pass?
This service allows you to pass through immigration checkpoints and boarding gates using facial recognition after pre-registering your passport, facial data, and boarding pass.

- Facial information (ID) can be used for 5 years with a one-time registration.
- If you renew your passport, you must re-register your ID.
- A boarding pass must be registered for each departure. (Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air and T'way Air automatically register IDs during check-in.)

- Follow the floor markings and signage in the departure area for guidance.
- Unregistered passengers cannot use dedicated lanes.
- T1 Departure Hall 1 is only for ages 17 and above who can use Ministry of Justice`s Smart Entry Service.
Other Precautions
- Do not place your passport and boarding pass in checked baggage; carry them with you.
- Available for users aged 7 and older (parental consent is required for those under 14).
- This is a separate service from the Ministry of Justice’s Smart Entry Service.
